Oh the Holidays!

Oh the Holidays! We had such a busy Christmas. While it was nice to spend time with our parents and brothers and all on Christmas Day, I think we will be having Christmas at our house next year. With a baby, it is so difficult to go EVERYWHERE. We didn't even make to the extended families as I ended up getting sick... it always seems to happen on the holidays. Regardless of that, we did have a great Christmas and have tons of pictures to share. Enjoy the picture walk!
Aidie opened her first Christmas present on Christmas Eve. We've decided to start a tradition where we open pajamas the night before Christmas. So fun!

Before we put on jammies, we took a bath. Look at those long pretty eyelashes and TEETH!!!

Once we had our bath we got into our new jammies. Isn't my little bear so cute! I thought about Christmas jammies, but then we couldn't keep wearing them. Now we can be a cute little bear all winter long.

On Christmas Eve Matt and Megan came over too. Aidie had a fun time opening their present while Uncle Matt made silly faces :-)

This was the point where there were too many pictures and not enough distraction. I expect to see this look a lot when she gets to be a teenager!

Here we are with our new dolly. We definitely like those crinkly wings... and just look at all of that long curly hair. Isn't she just the prettiest little bear cub!

Aidie was in love with all of the ribbon. So we gave her a Rambo head band all her own.

Then we decided we had to get back to our foot obsession. We are completely obsessed with everything to do with feet. We finally caught it!

After a terrible night's sleep (up three times!) We had to wake her up in the morning. She pretty much refused to be awake. So we laid in bed together for a little while until she was ready.

Then it was time for us to open stockings. Aidie was so excited for her stocking. Pulling stuff out and not getting into trouble. That's the best!

Mmmm.... something from our stocking was very chewable.

Here is mommy, daddy and Aidie opening a present all together. Aiden really likes the bows as you can see her going straight for it.

Here Aidie is opening up her new play table that she absolutely loves! Excellent choice Grandma and Grandpa Wisley!

We got so excited about opening presents, we even decided to help Grandpa with his.

While Uncle Matt petted poor neglected Cainy (NOT!)

Of course we had to spend more time admiring the beautiful tree!

And then we found a Great Big BEAR just for my little bear cub. Her cousin Zachary has a couple big stuffed animals that Aidie loved when Cindy was babysitting for us. So Grandma thought she would get one for Aidie too!

And since we only see Uncle Matt once in a while, we had to get more Christmas photos with him and Aidie. Super cute!

Even snuggling on the couch... Aidie just makes everyone smushy :-)

We went over to my parents after Dan's. Uncle John was dying to see his niece of course!

We opened our stockings to find a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament of Noah's Ark. It was very chewable.

Daddy took over command of present opening (mommy was a little burnt out after the Wisley household). So I took pictures instead!

Grammy loved playing with Aidie and her new push toys. Cause and Effect is a current milestone that Aidie is loving! Anything with buttons is the best. She is also sporting one of her new hair barrettes. So cute. I even went and bought her hair bands. She just has so much hair!

We had fun opening up a box full of clothes. Aidie especially loved the socks (as I said: obsessed with feet!).

Even Uncle John went in on new learning toys and got her a "Counting Cow" that talks about numbers when you press its belly.

We were so excited that Grammy finished the jumper she was working on. It is so pretty!

I love this picture. Such an innocent, happy, playful little girl!

It was so funny. Aidie loves to climb and sit up high. So she spent the day trying to climb up boxes and anything else to get a good seat!

And this time on a frying pan!

Grammy made Aidie a stocking to match mine from when I was a little girl. I love it!

Eventually we got back home and Aidie opened her presents from mommy and daddy. We only did useful gifts this year. So we bought Aidie some things such as new flavors of puffs, hair brush and her very first tooth brush for those two little teeth. We also got her some little toys. A giraffe that squeaks- which she loves and a fun ocean themed push toys that has buttons and movable animals. Tons of fun!

Here we are chewing on the giraffe. Tons of fun in every bite!

It was such a good day that we had to end by playing with our toys and reading a book at the same time which can only be made better by....

Doing them all in a laundry basket!

Happy Holidays!

And just to brag

I have now lost 38lbs. since Aidie was born... just to brag on myself for a moment!!!

Spending time at home

It has been so odd to be home every day now. I haven't even been able to go take resumes anywhere because of the holidays and I have to have someone to watch Aidie. I guess I will start after the festivities... I find I'm finally getting back into the swing of being a housewife, but it's been a little difficult. I've really gotten used to being a working mom and having a bit of freedom away from Aidie. Not that I don't love my daughter and spending tons of time with her, but it was nice to have a chance to go and not have family responsibilities constantly pressing.
Regardless, we have been having fun and making some great memories. So enjoy the picture walk!

We went to Christmas at the Zoo yesterday with my parents. It was incredibly cold and I forgot my gloves (thank you Mommy for sharing) but we had a great time and even met Santa! Here I am posing next to a lovely Christmas tree outside the butterfly exhibit.

This was a huge tree just inside the butterfly exhibit. Some guy was nice enough to take a photo of all of us.

The whole zoo was filled with light sculptures of animals and holiday motifs. Pretty cool!

All of the trees when you first walked into the zoo were decorated. It looked like something out a Dr. Seuss book.

Here is little bundled up baby! Staying nice and toasty!

This was the line for getting into the zoo. Not even close to how many people were there on Halloween!

Aidie unwrapped her first present at from Cousin Dave and Judy yesterday too. So fun. She thought the bow was very neat and loved that she got to rip the paper. Although she obviously thought she was doing something she wasn't supposed to. LOL.

Here we are reading her new book!

We also took some pictures with Grandma and Grandpa Wisley. Grandma loved the little dress!!!

We posed with Aidie on the rocking horse too.

Dan did a holiday photo shoot of his cousin's little boy. We got some cute pictures of Zach and Aidie together!

Aiden has recently become obsessed with the CDs and DVDs on our shelf. This is her look of "What? Who? Me? What do you mean I'm chewing on something I'm not supposed to. I was just holding onto it for you..."

I love this picture of Dan kissing Aiden. She is so squirmy and only allows kissing when she feels like it. So funny!

Aunt Ellen and Uncle Biruk sent Christmas presents from Canada earlier this week. Aidie loved her little box that Auntie Ellen painted for her. She carried it around by the handle forever.

Here we have Aidie and Cainy in their usual situation. They are just so cute when the play together. I just love it!
