Jolly good Christmas fun

All the fun leading up to Christmas, is as much fun as Christmas morning to me. All the memories and time we share warms my heart all year through!

We went to the north view Christmas spectacular for the first time this year. What a great show! I was so impressed with the kids and their showmanship. They did a wonderful job.

Every year the kids write letters to Santa at school and we submit them to the newspaper. Of course they also go to the North Pole!

Christmas parties help get the kids into the spirit of giving. Annie had her first party ( special guest Santa!) and Aiden and I had a mommy daughter morning :)

We found this at the library! Where’s The Doctor!?!

Awards Day

It’s been a tough start to the year. You’ve worked through a lot. Good job on your hard work Sweet Pea!

Cataract Falls is a hit

We had so much fun kayaking with Cheyenne and Jordan, we decided to take the girls and the canoe. It was wonderful. They loved paddling past the waterfall and looking for fish.

Science day

Girl Scouts is an amazing way for girls to make friends, learn a lot, and live life in an fantastic way. Science night was super fun and hands on educational. One of our best decisions all year!

Bite to the Face

A terrible thing happened on a night that was just supposed to be a fun time. I was out shopping with chey for banquet dresses when Dan calls to say Aiden took a bite to the face from Mulder, a dog whom she loves and adores and is family. Many, many stitches, meds, tears, and a fainting spell from me later, she is healing and moving on ten times easier than any of the adults. God made her kind, forgiving, and resilient. Perfect in my eyes.

Golden Rule Days

I seriously cannot believe how old she is. Wasn't she just small enough to fit in the hiking pack yesterday?

Also- I am a cool teacher. Open house with mrs. wisley is station introduction day.

Burton Baby Bash

It was wonderful to share in the excitement of baby Finn. We can't wait to meet you little fella. Oh, and you are going to have the most envy worthy birthdays!

Holiday world surprise

Aiden has been begging to go to holiday world for two years. Until this year we haven't been willing to take her since she has always been terrified of, well, everything.
This year, there is no fear. Of anything. At all. Dear Lord, help me.

Fair time

There is nothing like a fair in the summer. Aiden rode everything. Annie may never ride another carousel as long as she lives (there was intense clutching) and they both loved the animals- Aiden loved them all and Annie was all pigs. That child is all her own!

Poké-party Palooza

Aiden and Annie have birthdays exactly one month apart. While they are young, I plan to take full advantage of this and have joint birthday parties. They love each other so ridiculously much that they are looking forward to sharing all future birthday parties.

We love making themed food! The buckeye digglets and poke balls were great! The mucks didn't really work. The chocolate was too thick.

Rainy day parties need a little help. Bubbles brighten everyone's day!

The girls are all about balloons!

Piñata fun is a must. We've never bought a piñata before and apparently this is the pull string kind. We didn't realize and spent a lot of time bashing it.

Yum. Pokeball cupcakes!

Pika-puppy

The girls LOVE these calico critters. This is probably the best toy investment ever!

Happy birthday, Aiden!

Birthdays are always exciting, but this year brought a new surprise: The return of SNOWY!!! Our beloved elf made her first birthday appearance by writing hilarious fortunes (aiden's birthday was only 4 days before Easter) and decorating with spring decor. And if course she chose a bunny stead. Hyah!
